Daniel Sperrazza is a Managing Partner and Founder of Hightower LakeWater. With 32
years of experience in investment research and asset management, Dan brings a strategic, client-focused approach to asset management to the team. He maintains responsibility for directing the practice’s investment process, particularly with regard to risk management. Given Dan's experience in the area of private funds, he is particularly focused on private equity and alternative strategies to help mitigate risk and enhance returns.

Dan is a Founding Partner of LakeWater Capital, LLC, an asset manager based in Skaneateles, New York, focused on long and short credit investing.

Previously, he was a Senior Vice President and the Director of Fixed Income Research at Northern Trust Global Investments, Director of Fixed Income Research at Fleet Investment Advisors, and Director of Corporate Finance at Aetna.

Dan earned his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. He also earned his BS in Management from the State University of New York at Buffalo. An active member of the local community, Dan serves as a Trustee and member of the Investment Committee for the University at Buffalo Foundation, and was a Trustee and the Investment Committee Chairman for St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute from 2010 through 2019.
